Ok, so I’m going to try to actually blog for real this time. I’ll try and post updates on fun/cool things that are going on in my life. So if you want to get caught up, here’s a recap of this past year.
2007
May – I graduated from Gonzaga University with a degree in Religious studies and a music minor. Whoo hoo!
June – I moved to Hillsboro, OR in a cute apartment with my sister.
July – July 1st was my offical starting date for my very first job as a college graduate! I became a Youth Ministry Coordinator at a parish out in Forest Grove.
October – I was given the opportunity to be an emcee at the Portland Archdiocese Youth Rally. There were tons of teens there that weekend and it was such an awesome experience! I love doing that type of thing!
2008
January – After all the cold winter days, I went to San Francisco to visit my friend Francesca. It was much warmer there let me tell you. I also got to go to Walk for Life which is a pro-life march. That was an experience I’ll never forget. As we marched peacefully, we were yelled at, cursed at, jeered at by various groups trying to provoke and start arguments. However, it was amazing to see the response of people participating in the walk. I believe there were over 20,000 people that walked that day.
April – Krista and I went on a mini roadtrip to the beach and wine tasting in the Forest Grove area. It was such perfect weather that weekend!
The spring months are a blur of many events and now as summer draws near I am excited to see the sun again! This month marks one year as an official Oregon resident and finishing up my first year as a Youth Minister.
So that is a very brief summary of the past year but by no means inclusive of everything. If you want to know more details, send me a message or email sometime.
