I used to go to this one cafe for a cozy place to enjoy coffee and wi-fi. My favorite spot was on the second floor, right next to the window.
I hadn’t gone in a long time and then one day I showed up and the upstairs part of the cafe had been turned into a dance studio. I met the manager who invited me to take classes. From then on I dragged various friends to the hip hop classes they offer every weekend. While most of them stopped coming, I continued with the classes. I really enjoyed dancing and meeting new people, making new friends with classmates and teachers.
Recently my teacher invited me to a dance competition that he and his dance crew were competing in, first in the semi-finals, and then in the grand finals. Here are the pics from the semi-finals. The first pic is my teacher’s dance group, Hustlers, and the second is another dance group, Amplified, that some of the other teachers are in. Beside placing several other competitions here in the Philippines, they also won the World Supremacy Battlegrounds Competition in Australia in 2009.

Anyways, the dance studio has sort of become my new hangout spot, chilling there on my day off or stopping by after work if I get out early. I mean seriously, coffee, wi-fi, dancing, and new friends? Who could say no to that?
